Rainwater harvesting is about adapting to climate-conscious methods of water management, by collecting rainwater off buildings, storing it and then using it carefully. Goal is feeding over 300 ppl with NO mains water use.

We have completed Phase 1: 6,000 litres of rainwater storage, x2 solar pumps and some pipes. Along with championing and sharing water conservation techniques - spot watering, perennial plants, drought resistant plants and moisture checks before watering to determine need.

Have calculated that to be climate resilient to 60-70 days of no rain we need a minimum of 60,000 litres stored. We have roof capacity (at current annual rainfall levels to harvest 80,000 litres from two sheds).

Phase 2: £1400 per 7,500 litre Enduramaxx rainwater storage tank (2 or 3 of these desired).

£6000 for the reinforced concrete base required for tanks to sit on. Wish to build big enough to accommodate 3 tanks, even if can only afford 2 tanks in Phase 2.

Phase 3: Securing 39,000 litres of rainwater storage - some of which will be embedded in the new polytunnel project - as planning it with integrated rainwater harvesting.
